Crown depth
Measured from the sweatband seam to the button. A shallow crown is the most common reason a cap gets worn twice, and it is invisible in every product photograph ever taken.
Men's caps and beanies chosen on crown depth, sweatband and brim core. The parts a product photo never shows.

Everything else in a wardrobe gets checked in a mirror during the day. A hat does not. You put it on in the morning, glance once, and spend the next ten hours as the only person who cannot see it.
That gap is why headwear gets bought badly. On a screen the decision comes down to the front panel. The parts that decide whether a hat is still in rotation six months later are the ones you only ever feel.
So we stock on the parts a buyer cannot photograph and a wearer cannot see. Nothing gets ordered that fails the checks, which is why the range moves slowly.

Measured from the sweatband seam to the button. A shallow crown is the most common reason a cap gets worn twice, and it is invisible in every product photograph ever taken.
Stitched in, never glued. It has to move sweat instead of holding it against skin. Glued bands lift at the corners after a season, and the lifted edge is what starts digging into your forehead.
One crease and it is done. The plastic or fiber insert holding the curve. A thin core creases permanently the first time the hat gets sat on, and it never comes back.
Stretch the cuff wide, let go, and watch. It either comes back to its original width or it stays loose for the rest of its life. Anything that fails does not get an order placed against it.
Within caps the meaningful split is structure. Neither side is better built. We keep both in stock so nobody settles for the version we happened to order more of.
Journal
One measurement, taken correctly, settles most sizing questions. Then there is crown depth — the number nobody takes, and the reason two caps of the same size sit an inch apart on the same head.

Start at the sweatband, never the machine, and dry it over something head-shaped. Fifteen minutes of attention spread across a season.

Forget face shapes. Crown height, brim reach and the volume of what you have on below are what decide how a hat reads.

Measure around your head just above the ears with a soft tape and match that to the size range on the listing. Adjustable closures cover a span of sizes; fitted styles do not, so the measurement matters more on those.
