Payment Methods

Last Updated: August 2026

At UVict (accessible via https://uvict.com), this page lists what we accept at checkout, when the charge happens, and what to do when a payment does not go through.

Orders here are small and one-time: a cap, a beanie, sometimes both. There are no subscriptions, no saved cards on our side, and no recurring charges of any kind. What you approve at checkout is the whole of it.

By placing an order you agree to the terms below. If a payment behaves in a way you did not expect, email [email protected] before contacting your bank and we will usually explain it in one reply.

2. Methods We Accept

  • PayPal. Pay from your PayPal balance or a funding source linked to your account.
  • Debit card. Any major debit card carrying a Visa or Mastercard logo.
  • Credit card. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

3. The PayPal Gateway

Every payment runs through PayPal's gateway, including card payments. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card: choose the card option at checkout and enter the details on PayPal's secure page. The gateway is PCI DSS compliant, which is the card industry's own security standard for handling cardholder data.

4. Payment Security

We never see or store your full card number, expiry date, or security code. Those go directly to PayPal. What comes back to us is the transaction result, a reference number, and in some cases the last four digits of the card so that we can match a payment to an order when you write in.

5. When You Are Charged

The full amount is charged when you place the order, not when it ships. Handling begins once the payment clears, which is usually immediate. If a payment is still pending on the gateway's side, the order waits rather than shipping unpaid.

6. Currency and Foreign Fees

All transactions are processed in US Dollars. If your card is issued outside the United States or denominated in another currency, your issuer may add a foreign transaction fee and apply its own exchange rate. That charge comes from the issuer and does not reach us.

7. Sales Tax

Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable, based on your delivery address and the rules in force there. The total shown before you confirm is the total that will be charged.

8. Failed or Declined Payments

A declined payment creates no order and no charge. Nothing is taken and nothing is owed. Common causes are worth checking before assuming a problem on our end:

  • A billing address that does not match the one on file with the card issuer
  • An expired card, or a security code entered incorrectly
  • A daily spending limit or a fraud block placed by your bank
  • Insufficient funds in the account or in the PayPal balance being drawn on

If the details are correct and the payment still fails, your issuer is the fastest route to an answer, since they can see the decline reason and we cannot. Write to us as well and we will hold the stock while you sort it out.

9. Pending Authorizations

Some banks place a temporary authorization hold when a payment is attempted, including on attempts that then fail. A hold is not a charge and no money has left your account. Holds are released by the bank on its own schedule, typically within a few business days, and neither we nor PayPal can accelerate that.

10. Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. The full refund timeline, including the fixed processing commitment and the bank posting period afterwards, is set out on our Return & Refund Policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We update this page when the methods we accept change. The revision month appears under the page title, and the terms live at the time of your order are the ones that apply.

12. Payment Questions

Anything about a charge, a decline, or a hold on your statement can be sorted out here, usually faster than through a bank.
